National event opens student’s eyes to careers in landscape and horticulture
Greenscape Inc. and Weed Man team members will be volunteering at PLANET’s 39th Annual Student Career Days March 12-15. The 2015 national career fair and competition is being hosted at NC State University. Student Career Days is the green industry’s leading recruitment and networking event.
“Greenscape is passionate about developing emerging leaders in the green industry,” says Daniel Currin, President and CEO of Greenscape. “This year in addition to volunteering at Student Career Days, we’re holding a contest we call #CEOcamp. Students are encouraged to take selfies wearing green glasses we’ll provide and post them on Instagram using #CEOcamp. Students can follow the contest by following us on Instagram @greenteamnc. The entry with the most likes will win an all expenses paid trip to spend 2 days with our team in our Holly Springs headquarters. The student selected will tour our operational hubs, meet with clients to get their perspective, delve into the company’s financials to see how we remain profitable, and contribute in an executive committee meeting. Student Career Days takes place at NC State University from March 12-15, 2015 at the NC State Fairgrounds. More than 850 students from landscape schools across the United States are expected to attend and participate in more than 28 individual and team competitions.
