Greenscape Inc. will be honored by the Town of Southern Pines for its landscaping design and maintenance of Pinecrest Plaza. The firm, which recently added a Living Wall on the property to commemorate this year's US Open Championship at Pinehurst, was selected as one of the commercial winners in the annual "Sprucing Up Southern Pines" program.
"When Hawthorne Retail Partners hired Greenscape to manage the Pinecrest Plaza landscaping, they told us they wanted the landscaping to turn heads," says Greg Smith, Commercial Client Relations Manager with Greenscape. "Hawthorne really engaged the public by creating landscape pockets amongst their sidewalks as well as installing updated architectural features to include arbors, carriage light fixtures and other southern style details.
We put together a plan that included lush landscaping and some signature Living Walls to emphasize the architectural changes put in place by Hawthorne. We're pleased to be recognized for helping make Pinecrest Plaza an attractive, friendly place to walk and shop."
