The Green Team & Safety

Greenscape Inc. is focused on safety. Our landscape team members are easily identified when they are working on your property by the safety vests with our logo. This includes managers, crew and foremen. In addition, team members have appropriate safety gear for the job at hand; this may include goggles, ear plugs, hardhats, gloves, and steel toe work boots.

Greenscape Inc. is in compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. These regulations fall into two categories: landscaping and horticulture hazards (landscape maintenance activities) and construction hazards (for design-build and similar work). We also ensure any subcontractors used on a job adhere to all site safety rules.

Green Team members participate in ongoing safety training. They receive training on a variety of topics and refresher training on a regular basis. Training occurs weekly, monthly or annually, based on the topic. Training is also provided in Spanish (or other languages, if needed) for workers for whom English is a second language. Just some of the topics on which team members are trained include:

• Avoiding hearing damage and eye injuries;
• Training on specific machines and equipment;
• Symptoms of heat-related illnesses and associated dangers;
• Electrical hazards and line clearance;
• Tree care work and dangers;
• Safe pesticide use;
• Dangers of insects;
• And more…
