Commercial Landscape Maintenance Salesperson
Position Purpose
To aggressively seek commercial management opportunities that produce the budgeted gross margin desired by the company. To market the company to potential management customers and establish positive relationships that result in achieving the company revenues for Commercial Management. To maintain and develop innovative marketing strategies and programs that will increase market awareness.
Essential Functions:
Field Responsibilities
  • Generates revenue through the sale of Commercial Landscape Management contracts
  • Tours market area to identify desirable projects
  • Visits client site to conduct site work
  • Measures and estimates client project
  • Visits maintenance sites during production times to learn more about maintenance procedures

  • Upholds all Greenscape safety standards while on client site
  • Intervenes to prevent accidents if unsafe activity is observed by any Greenscape personnel
Quality Control
  • Consistently presents quality expectations to employees
  • Reports any quality deficiencies observed during the routine travel in the market area to the appropriate manager.
Client Relations
  • Assures legendary customer service at all times
  • Prospects new clients to obtain minimum prospecting numbers
  • Follows up on incoming customer leads within 24 hours
  • Qualifies potential clients
  • Meets with clients to determine their needs and establish their budget
  • Informs potential clients about full range of Greenscape services
  • Presents innovative and functional solutions to client needs through professional and quality graphic and written format for each job
  • Introduces Account Manager to client upon obtaining contract, to fulfill client expectations
  • Promptly acts to resolve any client dissatisfaction within 24 hours
  • Maintains professional and ethical standards in client interactions
  • Generates revenue through direct and indirect sale of commercial maintenance as well as commercial landscape/design/build and enhancement opportunities as needed
  • Develop initial program criteria to generate new sales through new services offered
  • Informs potential clients of all services offered by Greenscape
  • Assures legendary customer service at all times
  • Educates team members on what prospective client desire
  • Meets with clients to determine their needs and establish their budget
  • Prepares and completes client contract paperwork and processes promptly within 48 hours
  • Provides production with all necessary contract information
  • Acts to resolve any client dissatisfaction within 24 hours
  • Maintains professional and ethical standards in every client interaction
  • Introduces Account Manager to client upon obtaining contract
  • Review sales procedures and activities at weekly meeting with manager
  • Qualifies potential clients and distributes as guided by designated manager
  • Monitor and enhance tracking programs to improve sales results
Personnel Development
  • Understands and upholds Company mission and vision statement and company core values
Administrative
  • Meets personal sales goals as per company budget
  • Meets yearly gross margin sales as per budget
  • Meets yearly profit goals
  • Prepares accurate cost estimates, proposals and contracts to be reviewed by manager
  • Prepares and completes client contract paperwork and processes within 48 hours
  • Provides production with contract information including spreadsheet/horticulture visit sheet
  • Discusses sales procedures and activities at regular branch meetings
  • Maintains professional and ethical standards in all interactions
  • Meets company revenue goals as per company budget
