Account Manager
Essential Functions:
Field Responsibilities
  • Responsible for procuring annual enhancement sales goals. Residential AM goal = 25% of total base contracts, Commercial AM goal = 20% of total base contracts
  • Maintains familiarity with each clients contracts specifications
  • Ensure compliance of specifications using horticulturally appropriate and branch approved practices
  • Determine the types of services offered to clients and the appropriate frequency for maintaining an overall quality appearance
  • Works with Foreman to schedules /prioritizes workload to meet/exceed client expectation and to ensure efficient usage of materials and resources
  • Works with Foreman to determine the crews priorities, division of work and develops work plans for each crew on a regular basis
  • Works with Foreman to ensure that all equipment and materials needed to complete the days tasks are loaded and/or being delivered to job site
  • Ensures that crews depart the yard by designated time to ensure maximum time available on the job site
  • Proactively identifies enhancement opportunities and presents enhancements to client
  • Works with Foreman to manages equipment needs and insure that all equipment is properly maintained
  • Answers Foreman's questions and ensures that concerns are resolved in a timely manner
  • Anticipates and solves problems before they occur
  • Demonstrates ability to safely operate equipment
  • Responds quickly to problem areas within a 24-hour period

Safety
  • Assures that all crews are properly trained in safety techniques and procedures to promote safety of all
  • Includes in safety training the critical importance of safe material handling, proper equipment operation and the need for correct use of personal protective safety equipment and devices at all times
Quality Control
  • Consistently presents quality expectations to employees
  • Trains Foreman/crews in performance of quality work
  • Sees that jobs are maintained to Greenscape quality standards
  • Monitors client satisfaction by routinely inquiring about how the client feels about their service
Client Relations
  • Assures legendary customer service at all times
  • Makes regular site visits to evaluate quality of work
  • Anticipates client's needs in proactive manner
  • Prevents problems from occurring
  • Troubleshoots problems in a timely manner when they occur
  • Meets with property managers/clients routinely to determine level of client satisfaction
  • Resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Makes recommendations on enhancements to improve overall appearance of their properties
  • Meets with property managers/clients annually to discuss their satisfaction as well as any changes/enhancements they may desire in their next maintenance contract
  • Meets with prospective clients to assess overall landscape needs
  • Works with Design/Sales team as needed for design ideas and estimates to translate information into a maintenance proposal
  • Meets with client to discuss the options and develop mutually satisfactory maintenance contract
Personnel Development
  • Responsible for an overall Career Development and Training plan to accommodate the training needs of each Foreman and crew member relative to the Greenscape Crew Competency Plan
  • Reviews Foreman's work performance on an on going basis through performance planning
  • Monitors progress of Foreman towards objectives and goals as outlined in the Greenscape Crew Competency Plan
  • Assists Foreman in monitoring progress of crew towards objectives and goals as outlined in the Greenscape Crew Competency Plan
  • Conducts employee conferences and gather feedback from clients or others with whom employee may interact
  • Responsible for staffing needs, either new positions, reassignments or outside contractors
  • Actively participates in recruitment of new staff
  • Responsible for wage recommendations for staff
  • Manages disciplinary actions of Foreman/crew and grievance procedures to resolve issues as quickly as possible
Administrative
  • Provides accurate and timely paperwork flow from field to admin
  • Ensures renewals are renewed prior to expiration of current contracts
  • Ensures that add on as well as time & materials work is billed timely
  • Works with Foreman to assure that all materials (flowers, plants, fertilizers, chemicals, etc) are available in sufficient quantities to assure efficient operations
  • Develops projections for revenue, annual budgets and capital growth expenditures for new equipment, increased staffing, technology, etc.
  • Manages direct labor budgets to obtain the acceptable labor efficiencies
  • Supports branch vision and performs accordingly

  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills to comprehend and interpret customer needs into maintenance contracts
  • Must have a high level of motivation, enthusiasm, be a self-starter and perform daily under pressure
