Cottage Package

 

Choose from our Estate Plan (47 visits per year) or our Cottage Plan (26 visits per year), based on your needs. The Estate Plan includes mowing services, while the Cottage Plan does not. Both plans include horticultural services – including turf, tree and shrub care—delivered and managed by our team of trained landscape professionals.

The Cottage Package includes bi-weekly visits each month during which following tasks are completed. Note that items in italics are recommended or optional; prices are quoted separately.

JANUARY

 Cutting back grasses, pruning small shrubs
  Apply deer repellent
  Recommended mulching

FEBRUARY

  Regenerative pruning on crepe myrtles and evergreen shrubs
  Application of horticulture oils (to help prevent infestation of insects and mites)
  Liriope trimming and fertilizing
  Early spring fertilization and weed control for turf
  Recommended mulching
  Apply deer repellent
  Cut back rose shrubs

MARCH

  Lawn fertilization
  Pre-emergent herbicides for annual weed control
  Selective pruning on Japanese maples
  Spring walk-through and planning with Client Relations Manager
  Apply deer repellent

APRIL

  Post and pre-emergent weed control for turf
  Fertilize perennials & ornamental grasses
  Apply deer repellent
  Spray weeds in naturalized areas, remove small limbs
  Irrigation start up

MAY

  Selective pruning to encourage healthy plant growth
  Application  of a systemic insecticide to help prevent beetle infestation
  Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers
  Begin treatment for brown patch on fescue turf
  Installation of summer annuals
  Apply deer repellent

JUNE

  Early summer fertilization with weed control for turf
  Apply turf fungicide
  Lawn aeration for warm season turf grasses
